On behalf of the American College of Perioperative Medicine andMIT Hacking Medicine, you are invited to participate in our Hackathon titled the Surgical Healthcare Challenge. It will be taking place in Irvine, California at the Edwards LifeSciences Campus on September 29-30, 2018.

Surgical Healthcare Challenge | September 29-30, 2018 | Irvine, CA
WHY:While surgical and anesthesia care in the US is exceptional in many respects, some areas could be significantly improved. To address some of the challenges we plan to hold a 48-hour hackathon.
100 HACKERS/ATTENDANTSwill be organized in teams of 3-7 individuals. Each team will be assigned 1-2 mentors.
TEAMSwill consist of doctors, patients, STUDENTS, nurses, engineers, developers, designers, business people, insurance, and policy experts.
PRIZES:A total of up to $35,000 will be given to the top 3 teams.
COST:Students Early Bird -- $40; after September 15 -- $50.
Professional Early Bird -- $199; after September 15 -- $249. Includes breakfast and lunch for both days, and dinner for first day.
